CREAMLAND NURSERY SCHOOL

Cream land Nursery School is a pre- primary school located in Rubuguri catholic parish, Rushaga village Nkuringo Sector 35km from kisoro town-Uganda.

The school is composed of seventy five pupils and their age ranges from three to five years.

All of them are either double or single orphans.

Their school fee per pupil is one hundred and fifty thousand Ugandan shillings only (150,000shillings).

Our motto, mission and vision are as follows;

Our mission: To offer quality education.

Our vision: To become one of the best performing schools in Uganda.

We intend to help the unprivileged orphans who cannot afford to sponsor themselves in expensive schools with quality education to make them able to move to the greater horizons.

RUBUGURI MISHAYA YOUTH ACTORS

HORIZON DANCERS

Horizon dancers is an acting group whose interests are like those of Rubuguri Mishaya youth actors. It is an extension of Rubuguri mishaya youth actors group. What brings a slight difference between the two groups is the fact that they are found in different locations. Horizon dancers are found in Nkuringo, while Rubuguri mishaya Youth actors are found in Rubuguri but all of them are bordering Bwindi national park, a habitat of mountain Gorillas in Uganda.

Minus the difference cited above, the other areas of the group are the same as those of Rubuguri mishaya Youth actors.

WOMENS COMMUNITY INITIATIVE GROUP

Women’s community initiative group is a community of women who have lost their husbands. These women have decided to come together to do innovative activities in an effort to get profits out of them.

They weave cultural mats for sale at a reduced price. One medium cultural mat costs 10dollers. They differ in sizes and each costs according to its size starting from the smallest to the biggest.

They weave baskets out bamboo for sale at a reduced price. One medium basket is 6 dollars. They also differ in sizes. Lesser amount of money is for small baskets while large amounts of money is for bigger baskets.

They curve wooden gorillas out of wood. These Gorillas differ in sizes. Each Gorilla costs according to its size. The smallest costs 6 dollars. The medium costs 10dollers. The biggest in size costs 14 dollars.

They perform all sorts of authentic cultural attractions like cultural dance to visitors at a reduced price. Here, In case one comes with less amount of money to the expected price, he or she is allowed to come and attend to them. The cost is twenty dollars.

All the money they get as profit helps them to move to the greater horizon by investing in other developmental activities like educating their children.

HORIZON BEE-HIVE PROJECT

Horizon project deals with bee-bee keeping. It is a community project. The orphans have formed a group of weaving Bee-hives for profit making. Some bee- hives are sold for money and others are put in the isolated land for bees to enter after which honey is got from them ready for sale.
